We all need an escape every once in a while. Everyday life can get quite stressful for all of us, and whether you live in a big city or rural area, it does everyone good to get away for a bit. There's no need to travel across the world for your next getaway, though: we've got some excellent escapes right here in the Bluegrass State! We've found the perfect spot if you're looking for a romantic retreat for two. This idyllic cabin nestled in the woods of Louisville is absolutely magnificent. It looks straight out of a storybook, and it's got it all, with history, a cozy ambiance, beautiful natural surroundings, and breakfast included, too. Captain's Cabin is one of the best Airbnb properties in all of Kentucky, and if you need some special time with a loved one away from the chaos of everyday life, this is definitely the place for it.

This adorable cabin has been the setting for both a Lifetime and Hallmark movie filming, and it's certainly easy to see why. This place looks like a step back in time to simpler days.

It may look like you've stepped into a time machine with a cozy stone fireplace and antique furnishings, but you'll still have access to modern conveniences like a Bluetooth stereo and high-speed internet.

You'll also enjoy a full kitchen that includes an induction cooktop oven if you'd like to cook some meals here.

The sleeping area is just as cozy as you'd expect, with exposed beams and a Sleep Number bed outfitted with super-soft sheets.

With surroundings like these, I don't know why you'd want to leave the property, but if you choose to do so, you're only about 15 minutes from downtown Louisville and all of the city's attractions. If you decide to stay at the cabin, you'll have eight acres of woods to explore, and there's even a creek and firepit to enjoy.

This place looks utterly amazing - I can't imagine a more romantic and relaxing getaway! Just sitting on the porch watching wildlife would feel like heaven.
