After staying the night ourselves we would go as far as to say it is one of the best campgrounds in Kentucky for families.
The Renfro Valley KOA in Mt. Vernon is ideally located in a scenic area of the state and many call it the best kid-friendly campground in Kentucky.

But if the weather is nice, you'll want to spend all of your time outdoors, enjoying the activities.
These amenities are only available to those staying on the property, so you have room to spread out. Take a dip in the pool from mid-May through early September, or try out one of the hiking trails.
The kids will love the recently updated playground and other play areas.
The property has a jumping pillow that the whole family will love. Your dog will even enjoy this KOA, as there's a spot just for your four-legged family member.
Other on-site activities include shuffleboard, horseshoes, an arcade, basketball courts, and more.
There's plenty of good, old-fashioned fun here, which is what camping as a family is all about. But if you need it, there is also WiFi and cable TV available.
During the summer, stay on a weekend and participate in one of the fun themes, which offers even more activities.
There's no shortage of fun at this campground in Kentucky and kids and adults alike will love everything about it. The little ones will be entertained and the grown-ups can relax at this fun-filled destination in the Bluegrass.
During our stay at this campground, we found the staff to be exceptional and everything was very clean. Not only was there an iconic big yellow chair, which was the biggest one we had ever seen, but lots of fun activities.
We tented near the big teepee and it was right in the center of all the action. There were so many lawn games with families all playing and laughing together. Our girls loved the playground and the jump pad, which they used both until the sun went down.
After our stay, we would highly recommend this campground for anyone who loves to camp and play with your kids. We had a blast and we are confident that you will too when you stay at the Renfro Valley KOA.
