The Oregon Trail is one of the most romanticized aspects of Kansas history. The 2,170-mile trek connected the Missouri River to the Oregon Territory, allowing approximately 400,000 settlers to head west and seek a better life. The trail headed right through what is now the Sunflower State, and you can find plenty of Oregon Trail-related attractions in Kansas, like The Oregon Trail Park at Scott Springs in Westmoreland. Whether you were a fan of the computer game growing up or just love the imagery and history of this time period in American life, this is an era that fascinates many. It's no surprise, then, that many of us have wondered what it was like to sleep in a Conestoga wagon like those traveling the Trail did so long ago. Isinglass Estate is a winery and resort that's full of attractions. You'll find a restaurant, six different overnight accommodations, a polo field, 35 acres of vineyards, and more.
