When you think of Idaho, wine country doesn't exactly come to mind. Few people actually realize that the Gem State is home to a blossoming wine scene. It may not be as well known as a place like Napa Valley, but it's definitely making a name for itself in the wine community. You can experience it yourself by visiting one of our delightful wineries and sipping on some local, homegrown wine. If you visit Bitner Vineyards, you can even spend the night! That's right. This vineyard bed and breakfast makes for the perfect getaway into Idaho's beautiful wine country.
Idaho's wine scene may be new in comparison to other wine countries, but it's been thriving for several decades. The wonderful Bitner Vineyards has played a huge role in this fairly new frontier. Tucked away in the Snake River Valley near Caldwell, this vineyard is an actual dream.
The family owned vineyard has been producing handcrafted wines since 1981. Located in an absolutely gorgeous setting, you can visit the vineyard yourself and have a taste of some of Idaho's finest wine.
A decade ago, Bitner Vineyards opened their tasting room to the public. For the small price of $5, guests can sample five different wines made from grapes that were grown right on the premises.
Bitner boasts a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to all those who visit the vineyard. They even have a "Wine Club" where members receive discounts on wine and merchandise, along with access to member only events.
However, by far one of the coolest things about Bitner Vineyards is that you can even spend the night if you wish! Located on the vineyard is a bed and breakfast that is perfect for a getaway in Idaho's delightful wine country.
The B&B offers an unparalleled view of the vineyard and cozy accommodations. Take a walk around the vineyards, explore the rest of Idaho's beautiful wine country, shop at the Caldwell Farmers Market, and much more when you spend a weekend here at Bitner.
Your suite contains access to a personal patio that overlooks the surrounding region, complete with table and chairs. It's like your own little oasis in the majestic Snake River Valley.
If you're a wine lover, you absolutely can't miss out on a visit to this wonderful vineyard and B&B. The tasting room is open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday starting in May (December through April they are weekends only).
