Tucked away in the neverending beauty of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is an inn that makes for the most charming getaway destination. Located within a historic schoolhouse, there's no way you won't be swept up by the century-old charm and elegance of this lovely place.
The Roosevelt Inn is one of the most outstanding lodging options that North Idaho has to offer. The structure itself looks like it belongs in a museum. Built in 1905, this stately building has strong ties to the Coeur d'Alene community.
In fact, the structure was the very first permanent schoolhouse in town and it's the oldest one that remains to this very day. The schoolhouse closed up in 1972, but would become converted into a lovely bed and breakfast in 1994.
The inn is run by a couple, Tina and John Hough. John has a particularly special relationship with the schoolhouse since it's where he attended the first through fourth grades. Now anybody can experience the building's glory by staying in one of their gorgeous 14 rooms and suites.
Every part of your stay at the Roosevelt Inn is something you'll remember for years to come. Whether it's an afternoon spent in their garden playing a game of giant chess, or a relaxing evening spent in the on-site hot tub. This place is wonderful for making memories.
Each room is like a wonderful walk back in time, complete with modern amenities that will make you wish you never had to leave. For instance, their breakfast and buffet menu was crafted by Chef Gordon Ramsay himself after the inn's appearance on Ramsay's TV show "Hotel Hell" in 2012.
Not only is the Roosevelt Inn perfect for an enchanting escape, but it's also a fascinating piece of Idaho history. Treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind experience you'll never forget and plan a stay soon. For more information, click here.
