Idahoans are pretty familiar with the country life. After all, most of our state is composed of beautiful countryside and small agricultural towns. However, if you'd like a taste of both the country AND the city at once then you'll definitely be interested in spending a few nights in this charming red barn. This barn might just be the most unique bed and breakfast in Idaho, and you're about to see why.
For a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast expreience, you'll want to pay a visit to the Peterson Barn Guesthouse in Moscow. This place has a ton of charm and you'll really feel like you're spending the night on a farm!
Located just ten minutes from downtown Moscow, you'll be close enough to the city and restaurants but far enough away to feel like you're in a little mountain hideaway. Surrounded by tons of natural beauty and even the occasional wildlife, you'll feel a million miles away from it.
The 700-square foot B&B isn't an actual barn but a house that was constructed to look like barn. The Peterson Barn was built by hand back in 1997 from curved timbers. The owners milled and cut the trees themselves, and even raised the barn with their own hands.
The barn is perfect for a romantic getaway, anniversary, holiday celebration, and pretty much anything else you can think of. You'll have access to the entire barn which contains the main floor and sleeping loft.
The artistry that went into building the barn is downright amazing. This is far from what first comes to mind when somebody mentions "sleeping in a barn".
All in all, the barn can accommodate up to four guests. It contains two beds, one bathroom, and a full-sized kitchen. The difficult part will be pulling yourself away from this heavenly retreat to explore what Moscow has to offer.
Why stay in a hotel when Idaho is home to so many eccentric B&Bs such as this one? The Peterson Barn Guesthouse is the picture perfect option for a country getaway that you'll remember for years to come.
