Madison, GA is one of the Peach State's best small towns, and starting this summer, it's now a little bit wilder! If you've driven anywhere in the region in the last few years, it's likely that you've seen "coming soon" signs for a wildlife park that it seemed like might not ever open. Well, the time has finally come: the Georgia Safari Conservation Park finally opened up for visitors in June 2024. This wildlife park is only in the first stage of opening, so visitation is limited at this time while the animals get adjusted to their new homes, and there's plenty of construction planned to make the park even better in the future. We can't wait to see how this wildlife park in North Georgia continues to develop, but as for right now, it's already offering up some unique luxury lodging that's unlike anywhere you've ever experienced. Check it out:
Zoos in Georgia aren't uncommon, of course. Zoo Atlanta is considered one of the nation's top zoos, and we've got drive-thru safaris and fun family farms all over the state.
However, what's unique about this spot is that you can actually spend the night at Georgia Safari Conservation Park.
The park offers up a variety of luxury lodging options, with room available for 2-4 guests.
The most unique place to stay here is the Giraffe Suite, which offers an unprecedented look into the park's massive giraffe and rhino barn.
If you aren't up for an overnight stay, you can still enjoy a guided safari tour through the park's 530 acres. The safari trucks are driven by guides who can answer all your questions about the animals that live here.
The Georgia Safari Conservation Park also offers giraffe and rhino encounters where you can get up close and personal with these magnificent animals.
Whether you spend the night or just visit for an afternoon, this new safari park in Georgia is so much fun and will only get better as the development continues.
