By now, most of us are well-aware that Georgia is filled with quite a few haunted spots. In fact, many of you have already attempted Here’s The Ultimate Terrifying Georgia Road Trip — And It’ll Haunt Your Dreams successfully, and reported back your experiences. But did you know, there is one particular Georgia Inn that you need to sign a waiver in order to stay overnight? That's right, this place offers ZERO REFUNDS if their resident ghost Anna frightens you to the point of early check-out. How about that for terrifying?
As one of the longest running establishments in Savannah, 17Hundred90 has been in service for more than a hundred years.
If you haven't guessed yet, it's actually named for the year it was constructed.
But it's not just the longevity that draws people to this Savannah spot.
It's the fact that there have been numerous claims of hauntings on the premises, especially in Room 204, where the ghost of Anna Powers lives.
Room 204 is actually the room which used to require the waiver—Anna was said to be that frightening to guests.
17Hunrded90 was reportedly a boarding house before it became an inn and restaurant, and according to local tales, a young woman named Anna died at the inn after suffering a broken heart.
Beyond consolation, Anna threw herself out of the window of Room 204 and died upon impact on the ground below.
But she still haunts the hotel to this day, along with a few other spirits.
Employees have reported pots and pans rattling while nobody else is in the kitchen, or
mysterious loud noises coming from empty guests suites.
But in Room 204 in particular, guests have reported being shaken awake by shattering glass, or a shadowy figure looming at the end of their bed.
Some have said that Anna's behavior, (from scratched arms, to hair-pulling of female guests,) was so frequent that it led the former innkeeper to require a signed waiver before staying.
