Fall in Georgia is a magical time. The leaves are changing into an array of golds and reds, the weather is (finally) cooling off, all the great foods like apple cider and pumpkin spice everything become available...there's really no better season! If you're looking for a great fall getaway in Georgia, you'll definitely want to head up to the mountains in the northeast portion of the state. Areas like Helen and Dahlonega are absolutely amazing and have especially vivid leaf changes. One of the most scenic places to stay in this part of the state is the Mountain Top Lodge in Dahlonega. This rustic bed and breakfast is the perfect place to enjoy the season!
The Mountain Top Lodge is tucked away on 15 acres in beautiful historic Dahlonega. This is one of the best little mountain towns in Georgia and it's truly magnificent in the fall.
There's no better way to enjoy the fall colors in Georgia than in this charmingly rustic bed and breakfast.
The lodge has 16 rooms, each with tranquil names like Feathers and A Quiet Space.
Every room has different features, such as fireplaces, private sun rooms, balconies, and more.
Perhaps the best thing about Mountain Top Lodge, though, is the array of natural wonders within minutes from the inn.
Amicalola Falls, the tallest waterfall in Georgia, is just a few miles away. You're also not far from Unicoi State Park and several other great state parks and waterfalls. This area of the state is heaven for hikers!
Don't get us wrong - this region is beautiful no matter what time of year you visit, but it's especially lovely decked out in fall foliage.
