I'm a big fan of staying somewhere unique when I travel. Sure, it's easier to just pay attention to the highway exit signs and just grab the quickest chain motel, but I want to make sure that where I rest my head at night is as memorable as the rest of my journey. If you feel the same way, you're in luck, because there are plenty of unique places to stay in Georgia. Personally, I love vacation rentals because they provide a touch of hominess even when I'm far from home. Today, we're featuring some of the most unique vacation rentals in the Peach State that are just as much fun as the rest of your itinerary. Check them out:
1. Cloud 9: Rising Fawn
It doesn't get much more beautiful than a trip to Cloud 9 in Rising Fawn. This luxurious place was once a shipping container, now it's a tiny home with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and rooftop deck.
Not only are the views from the Airbnb amazing, it's also only about 15 miles from downtown Chattanooga and 10 miles from Cloudland Canyon State Park, one of the state's most gorgeous state parks.
Cloud 9 has a queen-sized bed with some of the best views imagineable. The home can host up to two guests, but note that it's not appropriate for children under 13, and no pets are allowed. You can learn more or book a stay at the property's Airbnb listing.
2. The Lens Lodge: Ellijay
We've featured The Lens Lodge before, but no list of unique vacation rentals in Georgia would be complete without this camera-shaped Airbnb in North Georgia.
The luxurious interior features tons of natural light and some of the best views you've ever seen of the surrounding mountain area. There's plenty of privacy on the two-acre property and you'll also enjoy a full kitchen and hot tub.
The two beds can sleep up to four guests - I've been dreaming of this king-sized bed ever since I first saw it. Scenery doesn't come much better than that! For more information about this unique Airbnb in North Georgia, check out the property's Airbnb listing.
3. Silo at Oak Hill Farm: Hihara
The Silo at Oak Hill Farm is a beautiful little converted grain bin on a historic farm in South Georgia. You'll get to enjoy eggs laid right on the farm, and have the option to enjoy fun concierge add-ons like charcuterie boards or champagne with strawberries.
This stay on a cabin farm does a wonderful job of combining luxury with rustic charm, and the interior is so warm and inviting that it's hard to believe it was ever a grain bin.
The one-bedroom Airbnb can host one or two guests, and it's a perfect option if you're looking for a romantic escape. To book a stay, view the property's Airbnb listing.
