Or choose a site closer to Chapman Falls, a sixty-foot beauty that resides within the park, just a short walk from the parking area.
Folks love claiming a boulder and enjoying the mesmerizing view, though larger groups usually opt to set up picnics in the surrounding grass. For a totally different perspective, try standing on the viewing platform above!
And don't miss your chance to cross one of the few covered footbridges in the state as you follow the river. From the waterfall, the water runs to the hemlock-canopied picnic area, which makes for a pretty tranquil dining experience.

Smaller falls and brooks are scattered throughout the park, which means the relaxing sounds of the river are never too far away. Spotting the tadpoles, frogs and lizards will remind you of your youth... Think you can still catch one?
