Now that summer is officially here, you might be thinking about the best place to go camping with the family. You don't want to outright rough it and want to enjoy a few modern luxuries. When considering the best cabins and camping sites for an enjoyable getaway, you will definitely want to add the extra sparkle of glamping at Sticks and Stones Farm in Newton to your destination list. Here are a few things you will like about staying at this farm.
1. The cabins
Enjoy luxurious camping cabins with basic accommodations. These include their own private cooking spaces, fire pits, and bathroom facilities with running water. You can also take advantage of the shared kitchen which is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, ice, salt, pepper, olive oil, and running water.
Only one cabin is equipped with electricity, so guests are encouraged to bring their own lighting. Please note that dogs are prohibited from entering the cabins.
2. Get back in touch with nature
There are many opportunities to get in touch with the outdoors. Download the local hiking trails map and explore the 60-acre property or follow the trails to the local cold spring and take a dip anytime between sunrise and sunset. You're welcome to bring your furry, four legged best friend along to explore the property. Be aware that there are cat residents living on the property who demand the utmost respect.
3. Beautiful ambiance for your next event
The gorgeous stone barn the farm is built around is the perfect location to host your next small event. Whether you're planning a family reunion, birthday party, or small wedding you will find accommodations that will make your event both magical and memorable. Limit is up to 50 guests per event. You can also join the many events held at Sticks and Stones including meditation retreats, wilderness classes, yoga, children's cooking classes, and movie nights.
4. Giving back to the community
Sticks and Stones Farm gives to the community through its community gardening efforts. The Sticks and Stones Vegetable Garden grows and distributes produce through Real Food Share. You can volunteer every Tuesday and Saturday morning to help with maintaining the garden and distributing organic produce to those in need.
