It's a new year in the Centennial State, and there is no better time than now to plan your getaway(s)! To make your vacation even more enjoyable (and Colorado-ish), we recommend visiting these magnificent escapes, one for each month of the year. How many of these amazing getaways in Colorado catch your eye? Let us know! Let's go.
1. January: Ouray
In the wintertime, there is no better place to be than Ouray and no better place to stay than this cozy, private mountain hideaway! Featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this mountain home can comfortably sleep 6 and boasts incredible views and a relaxing hot tub on the patio. What more could you want?
2. February: Steamboat Springs
February is the month of love, so get ready to fall in love with the perfect Red-tail Round House. Grab your honey and escape to this intimate 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin with 360-degree views (including in the dining area!) and easy access to incredible outdoor recreation.
3. March: Lamar
While everyone else heads west for spring break, we invite you to head east to the small and quiet town of Lamar. Welcome to the O'Bryans' Copper Cabin at the River Place, a newer cabin that has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, plus views of the resident farm animals and famous Eastern Plains sunsets.
Spring is in the air, and baseball is in full swing, so get a place downtown and partake in America's favorite pastime! Located within two miles of Coors Field, this luxurious private condo houses 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, plus an updated modern kitchen and HGTV-esque decor. (You may never want to leave - don't say we didn't warn you!)
Southwest Colorado gets busy in the summer, so beat the crowds by visiting in the late spring! Your base camp for this exciting and historic area is Durango and this charming in-town townhouse! Housing 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the new build boasts an easy walk to downtown and easy access to nearby attractions.
There is never a wrong time to visit Estes Park! However, we are partial to visiting in the summer, especially when a deck and hot tub are involved! Enter this private home with some of the best views in the area, plus 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and views as far as the eye can see. Wow!
Have you visited the Great Sand Dunes? Yes, it is a desert, and yes, it can get warm in the summer, but we still recommend visiting during this time and having a comfortable home to return to after a long day of exploring. The Campus Cottage in Alamosa is the perfect place for all of the above, as the cozy home - which features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom - is about as comfortable and homey as it gets.
It's peach and wine season here in Colorado, so it is time to venture to the Western Slope to get first dibs on each! After visiting the vineyards, buying boxes of peaches, and hiking around the plateaus, you will want to relax at your downtown bungalow. From the firepit in the back to the 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and modern kitchen, you will never want to leave this fun and adorable home.
Before the weather gets too cold, you will want to road trip to the northwest corner of Colorado and the tiny town of Dinosaur! As the name implies, Dinosaur is right outside the Dinosaur National Monument, arguably one of the most beautiful places in the Centennial State. To make your experience even more memorable, stay the night at the peaceful and low-key Permaculture Paradise Ranchette.
It's the most colorful time of the year in Colorado, and there is no better place to enjoy the changing colors than the iconic Aspen! When you aren't out hiking and enjoying fall in Colorado, kick back in this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a bright and spacious living area plus your own pool and hot tub!
Let's just say the holiday season is upon us, and Colorado Springs has tons of excellent shopping and entertainment options. Where does one stay in the big city? We highly recommend this beautiful 1-bedroom cottage that is a short walk from downtown.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which means that the place to be is Georgetown and its old-time Christmas Market. After eating chestnuts, sipping cocoa, and taking a horsedrawn carriage ride, enjoy a great night's sleep at the 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Colorado Chalet.
