For a restorative camp out in the mountains you should consider heading over to Ozark.
Mulberry Mountain Lodging & Events really does have it all. They're off of one of the prettiest scenic drives in the state (the Pig Trail), nestled in the Ozark National Forest near the Mulberry River, and have access to all sorts of outdoor activities. Plan a whole wedding here or just spend a couple of nights at their campground.

Since most folks are bringing either ATVs or horses, RVs are a fairly popular choice for camping. RV sites have electric and water hook-ups for easy overnight stays. The area does have primitive tent sites (with access to a bath house) as well.
Mulberry Mountain Lodge has all kinds of trails to explore in the area.
ATV enthusiasts will be in heaven on this mountain in particular. Off-highway vehicles like ATVs and UTVs can access miles of nature in the Mill Creek trail system. The area has easy to hard-rated trails so every skill level can find an adventure.
You can also switch from horsepower to horse-powered for another experience.
Mulberry Mountain Lodging has a stable for overnight boarding for your horses. The trails through this area are spectacular with overlooks of the valley and green tunnels of trees.
Traditional hikers will especially love the gorgeous waterfall trails.
The number of waterfalls in this area is astounding. Visit Mountain Creek Falls, Spirit Mountain Falls, Mount Fork Creek Falls, Sixty Foot Falls, and a handful of other unnamed waterfalls along the trails here. You can also connect to the Ozark Highlands Trail for more hiking sections or to begin a backpacking excursion.
After you've explored all the types trails near camp, take the short drive to the river.
The Mulberry River is one of the designated streams in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Whitewater kayaking is especially popular on this river but portions of the river have calmer water for summertime floating, too.
