There are few places that better depict the image of America than Route 66. The Mother Road fostered a pride in the unique culture found across the country and you can easily see that pop up in the attractions along the highway. Today, we're going to take a look at some motels and hotels you can currently spend a night in along Route 66. In addition to comfortable rooms and distinct decor, each offers a unique perspective of the highway's history.
1. Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams
This motel has little cottages and spots to park your RV but the accommodations you really want here are the renovated train cars. There are three cars overall: one Grand Canyon railcar and two little caboose suites that offer a unique stay! Address: 1900 East Rodeo Drive, Williams
2. El Trovatore Motel, Kingman
From the neon signs to the vintage murals surrounding the building, this little motel knows how to capture that nostalgia travelers look for when driving Route 66. Each room is decorated after a classic Hollywood icon and you’ll find pieces of memorabilia all over the motel. Address: 1440 East Andy Devine Avenue, Kingman
3. Globetrotter Lodge, Holbrook

This motel has always had a nice mid-century atmosphere but the recent renovations make this place stand out even more. You’ll find the accommodations cozy and the breakfast delicious! Address: 902 West Hopi Drive, Holbrook
4. Grand Canyon Caverns Motel Room, Peach Springs
The motel for the Grand Canyon Caverns is a nice little place but splurge for the cavern room if you can because it’s one experience you’ll never forget. You get to sleep in a private room deep underground where you can experience the darkest, quietest sleep in your life! Address: 115 Mile Marker AZ-66, Peach Springs
5. Grand Canyon Hotel, Williams
This historic hotel has a classic hotel feel with vintage furnishings and the cute rooms. It might look a little rough around the edges on the exterior but it makes for a nice, cozy stay. Address: 145 West Route 66, Williams
6. La Posada Hotel, Winslow
One of Winslow’s gems, La Posada Hotel is a historic landmark and one of the last railroad hotels built along the Santa Fe Railroad. The brainchild of railroad entrepreneur Fred Harvey and architect Mary Colter, the 1929 hotel has a luxurious atmosphere that will make your stay ever relaxing. Address: 303 East 2nd Street, Winslow
7. Stagecoach 66 Motel, Seligman
If quirky is what you expect out of a Route 66 motel, then these next motels will be just what you’re looking for! The Stagecoach 66 Motel in Seligman looks pretty ordinary from the outside but one step into the rooms and you’ll find some pretty unique décor. There’s one room dedicated to Elvis and another called the Bunkhouse, which you can take a peek at above. Address: 21455 West Interstate 40 Business Loop, Seligman
8. Wigwam Motel, Holbrook
Finally, Holbrook’s Wigwam Motel is a Route 66 staple: it’s a quirky little motel that thrives on nostalgia and its unique rooms. Fashioned after tipis, each round room offers a cozy stay that you won’t forget. Address: 811 West Hopi Drive, Holbrook
