1. Cheaha State Park - Delta
Cheaha State Park is located atop of Cheaha Mountain, Alabama's highest natural point. It's a wonderful destination for camping and includes 77 improved campsites, 28 primitive campsites, and multiple cabins and chalets. Click here for more information.
2. Gulf State Park - Gulf Shores
Gulf State Park, which is located on Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast and is approximately 1.5 miles from the beach, offers 496 improved full-hookup campsites with paved pads, 11 primitive campsites, and three outpost campsites. 3. Dismals Canyon - Phil Campbell
Dismals Canyon is one of North Alabama's most popular outdoor attractions. When it comes to camping, its "Sleeping Water" campsite is quite popular, and it can accommodate up to 15 campers. It's also a great location for a retreat. Click here for more information.
4. Monte Sano State Park - Huntsville
Monte Sano State Park is located atop of Monte Sano Mountain and is a great camping destination. It offers 11 original Civilian Conservation Corp stone cabins that were built in the 1930s, in addition to 21 primitive (tent only) campsites, 59 water and electric campsites, and 15 full hook-up campsites. 5. Cathedral Caverns State Park - Woodville
Cathedral Caverns State Park is home to the famous Cathedral Caverns, which boasts one of the largest commercial cave entrances in the world. 6. Wind Creek State Park - Alexander City
