Luck Stone Quarry is a stunning site in Ashburn, Virginia that boasts the largest concentration of dinosaur tracks in North America.
During special yearly events, Luck Stone partners with the Museum of Culpeper History to show visitors this spectacular array of tracks.
There are thousands of these well-preserved footprints to observe, most of which date back to the late Triassic period (some 220 million years ago!)
These prints belong to six different kinds of smaller dinosaurs known as theropods. Museum volunteers are on-site to answer any questions you may have about the history of dinosaurs in Virginia.
So whether you're enthralled by prehistoric creatures or simply looking for a memorable outing for the whole family, you'll be glad you ventured to this corner of Virginia.
