The Beehive State is certainly a wonderful place to live. Not only do we have incredible national parks, great places to eat, and some of the best outdoor attractions around, but we are also a generally safe place to call home. While the state’s violent crime rate has seen a slight increase over the past years, it is still 35% lower than the national average. Safewise has recently released the 10 safest towns in Utah to call home. Check it out to see if your hometown is one of the most peaceful places in Utah.

1) Spanish Fork: Population 39,000

Spanish Fork residents are big on community celebrations. They host several throughout the year, including the Icelandic Days, the Harvest Moon Hurrah, and the Festival of Colors. You also don't want to miss the Festival of Lights every holiday season. People in Spanish Fork are so busy having fun (and getting covered in colorful chalk dust) that they don’t commit many violent crimes. In fact, this is the first time this city has received the title of the safest city in Utah.

2. Syracuse: Population 29,000

Syracuse is a beautiful city located in Davis County. This Utah city has experienced significant growth over the past years but its crime rate has stayed low. In the past year, Syracuse reported 196 property crimes, the lowest in the Beehive State. It certainly deserves its place as one of the most peaceful places in Utah.

3) Kaysville: Population 31,500

Kaysville is another Davis County city that tops this list. It is one city in Utah filled with adorable historical buildings and gorgeous scenery. It is also the home to a plethora of family-friendly activities such as the beloved Cherry Hill Water Park.

4. Bountiful: Population 44,000

And once again, we have a Davis County city named as one of the safest places in Utah! Bountiful, located just north of Salt Lake City, is experiencing a decline in both violent crime and violent crime over the past years. We can't wait to see what next year has in store for this beautiful Utah city.

5. North Ogden: Population 19,400

North Ogden is nestled right up next to its larger cousin, Ogden, but it’s more rural and has a much lower crime rate. While property crimes are on the decline in this Utah city, there has been an uptick in violent crimes over the past year. However, it is still one of the most peaceful places in Utah and is a great place to call home.

6) Pleasant Grove: Population 38,300

Did you know that Pleasant Grove hosts the longest-running annual community festival in the state? The town has hosted Strawberry Days, held in June, since 1921. We don’t have any crime studies to support a connection between strawberries and low violent crimes rates, but we wouldn’t rule it out.

7. Clinton: Population 22,500

The beautiful city of Clinton is certainly one of the safest places in Utah to call home. This Davis County city has a violent crime rate of 0.8 per thousand. Clinton certainly is a beautiful place to reside.

8. Springville: Population 33,000

Springville is another Utah City that has seen significant growth over the past several years. However, despite the growth, it has seen a decline in property crime rates. Only one murder was reported in the 10 safest Utah cities and that was in Springville.

9. Farmington: Population 25,400

Farmington is most well-known as the location for Lagoon Amusement Park. However, what you may not realize is it's also one of the safest places in Utah. This year, Farmington saw a violent crime rate of 0.7 per thousand and a property crime rate of 13.8 per thousand.

10. Saratoga Springs: Population 33,600

Saratoga Springs is one of the two cities that fell in the rankings this year. However, it still made the list as one of the most peaceful places in Utah. This Utah city has a violent crime rate of 1.6 per thousand and a property crime rate of 7.7 per thousand.
