The film is the third installment of the iconic Predator franchise and its plot centers around the extraterrestrial "Predator" creatures.
Action-packed from beginning to end, the movie pits humans against the alien race on a foreign planet that acts as a warzone for the two tribes. So, what Predators filming locations were in Dripping Springs? Well...
This is Hamilton Pool, one of the most popular swimming holes in Texas.
Formed thousands of years ago by the collapse of an underground river, this stunning grotto has been a favorite among locals and tourists alike since the 1960s.
What most people don't know about Hamilton Pool is that it served as one of the filming locations for Nimród Antal's Predators, a 20th Century Fox film that grossed nearly $130 million.
The scene in which the characters emerge from a pool of water was shot here. The landscape here can only be described as otherworldly, so it's befitting for an alien movie and a fun fact when it comes to where was the movie Predators filmed.
Canyon Lake Gorge and McKinney Falls State Park were also Predators filming locations.
In fact, 60 percent of the movie was shot in Texas! How cool is that?
