Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Other people may call us "weird," but Austinites are some of the strongest Texans you'll ever meet. Our hearts burst with state pride, and we don't let any stereotype get us down. The "Keep Austin Weird" slogan has gained so much traction through the years, people outside of this city have developed some stereotypes about us. Whether we're called "yuppies," "hippies," or "weirdos," we know that doesn't define us. We're just Austinites, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
6. We spend about 43 hours a year stuck in traffic. That has to build thick skin!
If there's anything Austin's traffic has taught us, it's how to deal with uncomfortable situations. Breathe through the congestion, turn up the radio, and wait it out. You'll eventually get through it.
7. Our patience is so strong, we have no problem waiting in lines.
Whether it's for an exclusive concert or a hearty plate of BBQ, Austinites do not mind spending time waiting in line. We know that the end result is worth it.
8. Our city was built by strong and determined Texans.
Take a walk through The Texas State Capitol, and you'll hear dozens of stories about strong leaders. There's Ma Ferguson, America's second female governor.
