During Prohibition, alcohol was illegal and it was a lot harder to get a drink, but it was still possible in most parts of the country... you just had to know where the hidden speakeasies were located. Here's a modern-day speakeasy that's top-secret, but if you can find it, you'll be transported right back to the 1920s.
Hidden underground, the Blind Lion is a 1920s-themed speakeasy in Rapid City that will take you right back to the era of Prohibition.
While drinking is certainly legal in 2018, you'll feel like you're getting away with something while you're hidden away in this decadent space.
This basement hideaway is full of vintage furniture and memorabilia.
You'll find cozy seating areas where you can sit and chat with friends in a relaxed setting.
There's one important rule at Blind Lion: No cell phones allowed. If you really need to make a call, you can use the public telephone. Otherwise, enjoy actually chatting with your dining partners.
The bartenders and wait staff dress the part to make your experience realistic.
The menu here is limited, but everything on it is a delicious gourmet treat.
The drinks aren't the only secret here - the food is delicious.
