1. Haight and Ashbury Intersection

Back in the mid-1960s, this intersection was the most famous intersection in the world. Why? This is a place where young people would meet from all over the world in search of love and peace.

2. Murals and Art

This neighborhood is a living and breathing art piece. Walk around the neighborhood and appreciate the fine and colorful murals here.

3. Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park in the Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco. You can hike here and enjoy the views from the top. Many trails in Buena Vista Park are paved and easy to navigate, and all trails to the top are around one mile each way.

4. Shopping

Haight Ashbury has many eclectic and truly one-of-a-kind shops. If you want antiques, clothing, and books then this is your neighborhood.

5. Architecture

San Francisco has beautiful neighborhoods with even prettier buildings, and Haight Ashbury has a lot of iconic places. There are plenty of Victorian houses with Masonic and Knights Templar symbols as well.

6. The Red Victorian

This is a classic spot with history in the heart of Haight Ashbury. The Red Victorian is a-turn-of-the-century hotel that still has a Summer of Love vibe. Feel like you're in the 60's and 70's at the Peace Arts Center, which is part of the guest house. Rooms at the hotel are hippie flavored too.

7. Grateful Dead House - 710 Ashbury Street, San Francisco

This is a truly historical spot for 60s/countercultural fans. This house in Haught Ashbury in the mid-'60s was home to Grateful Dead. Check it out and feel the hippie vibe!

8. Golden Gate Park

The greatest park in the city is also at the very end of Haight Street. This is the start of the grand park near the Kezar statdium.

9. Ice Cream

Haight Ashbury has lots of great restaurants, but as it gets warmer perhaps ice cream is best! The original owners of Ben and Jerry's are hippies, so this only makes sense to enjoy their ice cream.

10. Amoeba Music

If you love music or enjoy listening to live music, then Amoeba is perfect. This long running store is a recognizable part of San Francisco and Los Angeles. Amoeba Music is one of the leading retail outlets in the Bay area for many overlooked genres of music.
