Here at Only In Oregon, we encourage a healthy appetite for wanderlust, both in and beyond our state's boundaries. And while there are certainly many, many bucket-list adventures to be had all over the country, there really is no place like home. Oregon is, in our humble opinion, the most beautiful, wonderful state in the country, with top-tier attractions, cutting-edge cuisine, world-renowned wineries, outdoor recreation aplenty, and scenic views. for. days. So whether we're commuting home from the daily grind in Washington or NorCal, returning to Oregon from an extended vacation, or coming back to the Beaver State to visit friends and family, the "Welcome to Oregon" sign is and will always be, our very favorite sight in the world.
Welcome to Oregon! There's an embarrassment of riches here in the Beaver State.
From our spectacular, 363-mile coastline, a wondrous place that's free and open to all...
...to our magnificent mountains, rivers, gorges, lakes, canyons, and waterfalls...
...to our 254 superlative state parks and one-and-only national park, the latter of which is a place that's constantly ranked among the most beautiful places on the planet...
...there truly is no place like Oregon.
But more than its stunning looks and legendary reputation, Oregon is a place that truly feels like home.
It's a place that welcomes the weird and embraces folks from all walks of life. We may be in the Pacific Northwest, but we've a welcoming, almost Midwest sensibility about us that happily accepts everyone.
For these reasons, and so many more, there's no place like home...
... and no better sight than the "Welcome to Oregon" sign. Remember, Oregon welcomes you and we're glad you're here!
