Here in New Mexico, we’re blessed with sweeping landscapes, dramatic skies, and scrumptious food. The downside is that, after living here, you find yourself dissatisfied with other places. They simply don’t measure up after you know what it's like to live in New Mexico. Here are 12 ways that the Land of Enchantment spoils you:
1. Let’s start from the ground up. The earth in most other places is so uninspiring. It certainly doesn’t look like this.
2. And the rocks can’t compete either.
3. We’re used to seeing soaring mountains
4. And wide open spaces.
5. Solitude is easy to find - if you want it.
6. But we also throw a great fiesta.
7. Our food is unique and bursting with flavor.
8. In other states, a cheeseburger arrives WITHOUT green chiles.
9. And restaurants serve bread *yawn* rather than sopaipillas or chips and salsa.
10. We have a long history, so our buildings are old. We’re not going to be impressed by something from the 1930s… please, that’s just vintage.
11. Our natural wonders are just as impressive as our manmade ones and they’re on a LARGE scale.
12. Finally, the sunrises and sunsets elsewhere can’t rival those in New Mexico.
How else does living in New Mexico spoil us? If you consider yourself a true New Mexican, see if you follow these New Mexico stereotypes. What are your favorite things when you think about what it's like to live in New Mexico?
