If you are entering the state from the north, you may be traveling on small highways near Farmington or on I-25 near Raton. It can seem like there isn’t much around for miles and miles but keep driving — you’ll eventually come to charming small towns, unique natural wonders like Shiprock, and more.
If you are entering the state from the east, there are so many different roads you could take to enter the Land of Enchantment. No matter which one you choose, you can’t go wrong. Each road can lead you to adventure, inspiration, and unforgettable memories. And you'll see a bright and welcoming New Mexico welcome sign!
Are you entering New Mexico from the west? Maybe you’ll be driving through red rocks and pure beauty on I-40 or the incredible desert landscape on I-10 toward Las Cruces. Either way — enjoy the journey. It truly is stunning.
Entrances from the south into New Mexico are a bit unique as you may be entering the Land of Enchantment from Texas or Mexico. No matter which road you are on — welcome home! We are glad you are back.
