1. Dyer, NV (Population: Approx. 300)
Dyer is a small unincorporated community in Fish Lake Valley of Esmeralda County. This small town has a gas station/store, cafe, post office and an airport.
2. Yerington, NV (Population: Approx. 3,241)
Located in Lyon County, Yerington has a population of just over 3000. Your odds of becoming a victim of a property crime here is 1 in 648, whereas the odds in Nevada in general are 1 in 43. Impressive!
3. Incline Village, NV (Population: Approx. 9,000)
Established in 1882, Incline Village is located in Washoe County on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The main campus of Sierra Nevada College is located in Incline Village.
4. Spring Creek, NV (Population: Approx. 12,500)
Spring Creek, which was developed during the 1970s and is thusly a relatively new city, is located in Elko County in a large valley between the Elko Hills and Ruby Mountains. It's one of the safest cities in Nevada.
5. Zephyr Cove, NV (Population: Approx. 600)
Located in Douglas County, Zephyr Cove is situated on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. Zephyr Cove is a popular tourism spot in Nevada.
6. Wells, NV (Population: Approx. 1022)
Wells is a small town in Elko, Nevada. With only about 182 people per square mile.
7. Caliente, NV (Population: Approx. 1,200)
Founded in 1901 on Culverwell Ranch, Caliente is located in Lincoln County and received its name due to the hot springs in the area.
8. Washoe Valley, NV (Population: Approx. 3,000)
Washoe Valley is located between Reno and Carson City and is known for its high wind speeds. It's a scenic place that not a whole lot of folks appreciate, but they should.
9. Pioche, NV (Population: Approx. 1,000)
Pioche is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County and was once one of the most important silver-mining towns in Nevada. Pioche is known for its "Million Dollar Courthouse," which was built in 1872.
10. Genoa, NV (Population: Approx. 1,000)
Genoa, located in Douglas County and founded in 1851, was the first settlement in what later became the Nevada Territory. It's a quaint, quiet, and safe little place.
