4. Tonopah
Tonopah is the county seat of Nye County and home to the famous Clown Motel. It's also one of the best locations in the U.S. for stargazing.
3. Hawthorne
Hawthorne is located in Mineral County. This small town's primary economic base is the nearby Hawthorne Army Depot.

Laughlin is located in Clark County, on the Colorado River.
1. Panaca
Located in Lincoln County, Panaca was southern Nevada's first permanent settlement, founded as a Mormon colony in 1864.
