If you've been in Nashville longer than two months, you know the city has grown in crazy leaps and bounds since The New York Times decided to gift us with the title of the, "It City" in 2013. Droves of young professionals joined musicians ravenous for record deals and a solid meal in their trek to Nashville, building the city culture and creating vibrant subgroups throughout town. The one question for all those out-of-towners? Where to live.
Here are the cutest little places Nashville ever did see.
1. 12 South
Have money, live here - that's 12 South's motto. It's where parents with money send their college kids, crossing their fingers they've dodged that indecent dorm room bullet.
2. East Nashville
Do we need to say anything about the east side? You're cool. You're pretty. You're expensive. That is all.
3. The Nations
The secret of The Nations has been leaked, guys! Once a lower income side of the city, it has since been built up and rebranded as a hot spot for all the young professionals moving to town.
4. Hillsboro Village
Another autumn worthy spot, Taylor Swift was known to frequent the area with her once upon a time loves in Nashville, parading the brickladen streets with all the Vandy + Belmont students, Fido coffee cup in hand. You'll find the East Nashvillians over here every once in awhile, too - catching a film at the Belcourt.
5. Inglewood
The newly cool cousin of the famed east side of town, Inglewood hosts hipsters who were too cool to be super close to the river or Five Points Pizza, and lucky families that bought low and can sell reeeeal high in the bloodbath that is Nashville's real estate market.
6. Germantown
The newly elegant, forever historical Germantown is now home to money making creatives and expensive restaurants. The streets are perfect in the fall, and they even have an eco-friendly nail salon - killin' it, folks.
7. Sylvan Park
Sylvan Park - the dream of the west side. If you're in Sylvan Park, you're either a SUPER lucky family that's owned since forever, paying through the nose for your rent, or simply walking the streets on Saturday, trying to forget you live off of Harding.
What do you think? Any charming little Nashville neighborhoods you would add to the list?
