The 1970s were a pretty interesting time with some crazy fashions. Young boys wore leisure suits (if their parents dressed them that way...mine did), girls had "Farrah Fawcet" hair, and the decor was oranges, browns, and greens. Disco, hippies, bell-bottoms, and the "me decade." Shall we visit?

Penguin Park has been a Kansas City landmark for nearly 50 years. In the 1970s, Penguin Park was one of the most popular parks in the northern sector of the city. It began with the landmark penguin and other attractions were added over the years.
