According to Zillow, the median home price in Kansas City is $122,600, which would be considered very reasonable. Not only that, property values have gone up 8.5% in the last year and are expected to rise another 3.8% in the next year, making Kansas City a favorable place to invest in Real Estate.
2. The City of Fountains
Kansas City is known as the "City of Fountains." There are more than 200 beautiful fountains for you to view. There are whispers that we even have more fountains than Rome!
3. The best BBQ around
If you're a fan of bar-b-que then Kansas City will have you drooling. There are more than 100 BBQ restaurants with many featuring the city's signature burnt ends. Known for the combo of a sweet and spicy sauce, these ribs will definitely leave you with a full belly.
4. The Country Club Plaza
Ask anyone from Kansas City about their favorite places and most will include The Country Club Plaza. With architecture designed to look like Seville, Spain, its beauty plays a huge part in why this city is so special. Plus, the Plaza lighting ceremony is a must-see on Thanksgiving night. Thousands of people come to see the beginning of the "Season of Lights," one of Kansas City's oldest traditions.
5. Sports that make KC loud and proud
Football, baseball, and soccer - you can take your pick. Kansas Citians are proud of their teams and they aren't afraid to show it. Whether it be Chiefs football, Royals baseball or Sporting KC Soccer, Kansas Citians will always try their best to cheer them to victory.

7. Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
In September 2011, Kansas City's Kauffman Center opened and as of now more than 2.5 million people have visited the breathtaking destination to view spectacular performing arts events. Both the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Ballet are true treasures you won't want to miss.
8. We've got amazing parks to relax and enjoy the outdoors
Kansas City, while a bustling metro, also has 12,000 acres of park space. With 220 parks and 29 lakes, the city's greenspaces allow you to take your pick on where you'll escape. Loose Park, shown above, is one of KC's largest and most beloved parks.
9. Catch a ride on the new street car
After years of waiting, KC finally unveiled the new street car, which connects downtown to the Crossroads and Riverwalk Districts. Hop on and enjoy the ride!
10. Feast your eyes on the art scene
We don't mean to brag, but our art museums are amazing too. Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art both offer world-renowned displays of some of the most beautiful paintings, statues and artifacts in the world.
11. At Boulevard Brewing Co., you're gonna wanna say "beer me"
Let's just say Boulevard beer has a cult following in KC. Founded in 1989, they now have a large assortment of beer including pale ale, wheat, pilsner, and dark. Take a tour at the newly renovated brewery and taste for yourself!
12. Experience theater under the stars
If you're a theater buff you'll definitely want to check out Startlight Theatre. They offer amazing broadway musicals and concerts every summer season. There's really nothing like watching a live outdoor performance!
