While Marylanders are a diverse bunch, there are some things that almost all of us have done or will do at least once in our lifetimes. Check out the following list and see how many of these common things you've already done.
1. Attend a crab feast.
This is a Marylander's #1 rite of passage.
2. Enjoy an Ocean City vacation.
Whether it's for a day or week.
3. Witness the pure enchantment of Assateague Island.
It's like a fairy tale right here in our own state.
4. Swim in the Atlantic Ocean...
Or simply dip your toes.
5. And occasionally spot a dolphin in the distance.
This is a lucky sight, indeed.
6. Take a dip in the Chesapeake Bay.
This natural wonder beckons.
7. Or in Maryland's largest lake, Deep Creek.
The true blue gem of Western Maryland.
8. Get a bit of road rage...
Good, good... let the hate flow through you...
9. Perhaps while driving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Some find this wondrous structure unnerving, while others are un-bothered.
10. We've all gotten stuck in a Maryland traffic jam...
Patience is a virtue.
11. Especially when on our way to Camden Yards...
Who hasn't been to an Orioles game?
12. Or M&T Bank Stadium.
The home of purple pride.
13. Try Natty Boh.
And then decide for yourself whether you like it or not.
14. And taste an abundance of local wines until you find your favorite.
Are you up to the challenge?
15. Lastly, feel overjoyed with Maryland pride.
Because there's no place like home.
