Are you searching for the perfect Denver neighborhood to call home? Fortunately, this isn't hard to do in a wonderful city like ours, and your friends at Only in Denver are here to help you find the most ideal neighborhood for your lifestyle. Here are the most charming neighborhoods in Denver.
1.) Washington Park
Wash Park (AKA my dream neighborhood) is about as perfect as it gets with its easy access to a gorgeous park, downtown, and 1930's bungalows. The only downside? The average home cost is a whopping $853,000. *gulp*
2.) Washington Park West
Basically everything about Wash Park with cheaper home costs ($515,000 average).
3.) Stapleton
This up-and-coming Denver neighborhood is a haven for the young professional with its (somewhat) low home costs and close proximity to shopping and dining.
4.) Cherry Creek
When it comes to posh nightlife, shops, and festivals, you just can't beat Cherry Creek! The only downfall to this gorgeous area? The average home cost is over $1.5 M. Dare I say that you get what you pay for?
5.) Congress Park
Can't afford the price tag on Cherry Creek homes? I hear ya! Fortunately for us, there is the nearby neighborhood of Congress Park, which is still close to the Cherry Creek area, but with bigger houses at a smaller price (more than half the price, to be exact).
6.) University Hills
This may come as a surprise to some, but the University of Denver's neighborhood is an ideal place to raise a family! See for yourself when you visit the surprisingly quiet neighborhood and its spacious parks.
7.) Wellshire
University Hills's virtually unknown next-door-neighbor is also ideal for raising children... in fact, 5280 credits them as having the second lowest crime rate of all Denver neighborhoods!
8.) City Park
I don't know about you, but I could definitely get used to living within walking distance of both this stunning park AND the Denver Museum of Nature & Science!
9.) Highlands
Close enough to downtown to ride your bike, but far enough away to enjoy quiet living and hip restaurants.
10.) Country Club
Goals: To one day make enough money to buy one of the large, historic homes in this charismatic neighborhood.
11.) Bonnie Brae
Just think: If you lived in Bonnie Brae, you could have Bonnie Brae Tavern's stellar green chili every single day (and a cone from Bonnie Brae Ice Cream for dessert)!
Do you live in any of these neighborhoods in Denver? Which is your favorite?
