Sure, Denverites are definitely a diverse group of people. But, you have to admit there are certain characteristics we are known for that are actually (sometimes proudly, and sometimes painfully) accurate. Check out this list of 8 stereotypes about those who dwell in the Mile High City that we simply can't deny.
1. We are really high.
No...it's not what you're thinking. We are actually living at one mile (5,280 feet) above sea level...hence our city's nickname.
2. We consider our four-legged friends to truly be our best friends.
Here in Denver, it seems like everyone has a dog, and Denver dogs are well-loved dogs.
3. We are beer snobs.
We'd probably prefer the term "connoisseur" but yes, we like our beer cold...and locally crafted.
4. We actually do bleed orange and blue.
Broncos fans our fiercely loyal to their team...no matter what.
5. We love the sun.
Looking for a local? You'll find us outdoors.
6. We despise traffic.
Sitting in parking lot traffic on I-25 has us wondering why we didn't just ride our bike to work.
7. We are fit.
Sure, there's a good number of couch potatoes here in Denver, but a vast majority of Mile High City dwellers can be found working up a sweat whenever possible.
8. We love to play in the snow.
When we get a nice accumulation of snow here in Denver, you won't find us staying in and cozying up by the fire. We get out there and enjoy it.
