Cincinnati is a great place to live. This may be an opinion, but most Cincinnatians would argue it is a fact and follow it up with plenty of evidence. And while the title of this article may sound a little negative, this is truly a love letter about the city that we call home. Cincinnati may ruin you in these 7 ways, but really it's just working its way into your Skyline-loving, Reds-cheering heart.
1. We have incredible views of our skyline.
Cincinnati's skyline may just be the most beautiful in the country. Many large cities have towering skyscrapers and sparkling lights, but Cincinnati's uniqueness comes from its waterfront location, gorgeous bridges and stadiums, and the fact that you can view it from many different spots around the area. You can't expect to see views like this just anywhere.
2. It's affordable.
Of course, it may not always seem like living in Cincinnati is affordable, but if you've lived elsewhere in the country or traveled around, you may have realized that our city is relatively cheap. Cheap in a good way, as there are many affordable, wonderful neighborhoods, as well as activities and restaurants that are easy on your wallet.
3. We have everything right here. Seriously, everything.
If you grew up in Cincinnati, then you may not realize that not every city has an amazing history museum, world class orchestra, historic art museums, talented ballet, along with every other type of cultural experience you can imagine. Our city is so lucky to have so many opportunities for learning and experiencing the arts.
4. We are hopeful sports fans, no matter what.
If you are a fan of Cincinnati sports, then you may be ruined for life, but at least you're hopeful and resilient. Our city is filled with true fans who come out season after season, no matter what the outcome.

5. You get intense food cravings.
Especially if you've moved away, chances are you wake up in the middle of the night with an intense craving for a cheese coney. Or maybe it's a slice of Larosa's pizza. Or a scoop of black raspberry chip. If you're a true Cincinnatian, it's probably all three. Cincinnati has great food and these three classics cause some serious lifelong cravings.
6. We have parks everywhere you look.
Again, this isn't typical and Cincinnati is uniquely filled with beautiful parks in both urban areas, as well as those surrounded by nature. We've become accustomed to having many outdoor venues to choose from, with a variety of features, landscapes, and activities.
7. We're a friendly town.
This is another one you may not appreciate unless you've left our hometown. Cincinnati is friendly. People smile at you, genuinely ask how you're doing, and will welcome you into our city. We're festive, fun, and have a fierce love and pride for our city. If you don't feel this way, then Cincinnati just hasn't ruined you for life...yet.
