Living in Arizona has its fair share of perks (and quite a few quirks, as well.) Here are seven quirky and unusual things nobody tells you about living in Arizona - let's see how many you can relate to!
1. Daylight Saving Time? We don't know her.
That's right - you don't have to "spring forward" or "fall back" anymore when you move to Arizona. The days of being too early or late for work are long gone!
2. When we see a dust storm brewing, we don't lock the doors and shutter ourselves inside.
You'll often see Arizonans standing on their front porches, no matter how apocalyptic the sky looks.
3. Our hot dogs aren't your average concession stand fare.
Created in Tucson, the Sonoran hot dog is wrapped in bacon and topped with all sorts of delicious goodies. One bite and your life will be forever changed.
4. Arizona isn't all cacti and tumbleweeds.
Contrary to popular belief, we do get snow. Quite a bit, sometimes.
5. We're almost desensitized to natural wonders given how many there are in Arizona.
The world's largest meteor crater, the Painted Desert, the Grand Canyon... the list goes on.
6. Keeping the spirit of the Wild West alive is very important to us.
We can't even count on one hand the number of replica Old West towns across Arizona.
7. You'll never catch us complaining about the heat.
100 degrees in the summer? That's a mild day, as far as we're concerned.
