Arab Historic Village is nestled inside Arab City Park at 224 City Park Dr SE. It's open from March to December and is the perfect attraction for all ages.
At Arab Historic Village, you'll take a step back in time and learn what life was like in the city of Arab during the late 1800s to early 1900s.

A few of the buildings you'll be able to tour at Arab Historic Village include the following: 1935 Hunt School
Built in 1935, the Hunt School is a two-room school that was used for grades 1-6. It was Arab Historic Village's first building.
1912 Rice Church
The Rice Church was Arab Historic Village's second building. For a fee, it can be reserved for weddings and other special events.
Smith's Country Store
Smith's Country Store was built by the Arab Historical Society as a vintage 1930-1940 country store. It represents what stores were like before larger supermarkets and specialty-type stores came about.
The Boyd Farmhouse
This historic farmhouse was built in the late 1800s and is decorated in early 40’s style.
Elvin Light Museum
The Elvin Light Museum features several displays that showcase a variety of occupations, in addition to household areas with authentic furnishings. Several tools are also showcased throughout the museum for the specific era.
Ruth Homemakers Clubhouse
In the late 1930s, the men of the Ruth community built this clubhouse for their wives so they'd have a special place to have club meetings and enjoy activities such as quilting, knitting, mattress making and canning.

...cornmeal grinding. "Back When Day" is held on the last Saturday in April.
During the Christmas season, Arab Historic Village hosts "Santa in the Park." This event begins the day after Thanksgiving, and families have lots of fun participating in activities such as visiting with Santa, making pictures and doing a variety of crafts.
