But combine one of those with a spectacular meal and it definitely wins. That is just what you will find at this cliff-top restaurant in Rancho Mirage, CA.

The Edge Steakhouse is located on the grounds of the glamorous Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage in the Coachella Valley, and it makes for a truly exceptional night out.

As the restaurant’s name suggests, it sits at the edge of a cliff, 650 feet above sea level, overlooking Palm Springs sprawled out at the base of that iconic mountain backdrop.

The dining room at The Edge Steakhouse could not be better situated, putting you at eye level with vibrant desert sunsets over the mountains. And it just gets better.

As the sky gets darker, the city lights come up all over the desert floor below, and with nothing but clear glass separating you from the outside, you can even do a little stargazing.

Now, about the food. Extraordinary is the only way to describe it, from the impeccable quality to the brilliant flavor to the creative and elegant presentation, with no aspect of the meal left out.

This restaurant is known for its dry-aged proteins from around the world, but they also serve up incredible seafood and sides. The menu boasts Wagyu beef steaks, Moroccan Spiced Lamb Loin, Chilean sea bass, grilled quail, Oysters, and more.

… and the carefully crafted cocktails are as elegant and special as the food. Even the bourbon is aged in-house.

Obviously, desserts are out-of-the-ordinary, from the “Toast to Autumn” - pan-seared carrot-date French toast with creme fraiche and candied prosciutto - to the Chocolate and Salted Caramel - flourless chocolate cake with all sorts of chocolate, meringue, and caramel embellishments.
