For most restaurants in Southern California – whether you find them here on our site or elsewhere – you can simply open your map app for directions and head out. However, the wonderful restaurant I am about to personally recommend is going to require a little different planning. Located 26 miles off the shore on Catalina Island, this waterfront restaurant in Avalon, California, can only be reached by boat.
Technically, you can also get to the island by helicopter or on an exciting jet ski adventure, but most people take the Catalina Express ferry from Long Beach, San Pedro, or Dana Point, CA.
