Summer's right around the corner, and the best treat on a hot, summer day is ice cream, right? We recently created a mouthwatering ice cream trail through the western portion of South Dakota, and today we want to focus on one locally-owned parlor in particular. You're going to love this fun, unique place!
You'll find Leones' Creamery at 722 1/2 Main Street, in Spearfish.
It's tucked away right next to City Hall.
Sisters Hannah Leone and Rebecca Leone Williams, and Rebecca's husband John opened Leones' Creamery in 2014.
The creamery has been a vibrant part of the community ever since. Watch for Leones' at the next Spearfish event - you'll likely find this trio scooping up ice cream there.
You'll love the happy, friendly atmosphere here.
After all, it's hard to be grumpy when you're surrounded by ice cream, right?
Once you arrive, check out the board for today's flavors.
Flavors change daily. So no one will blame you if you feel like you have to visit several times a week...
Have 'em scoop your ice cream into a sugar cone...
...or a classic cake cone...
...or get a sundae with your favorite toppings.
You can't go wrong here.
Let's talk for a moment about the homemade ice cream sandwiches.
They're available in different flavors, depending on the day. Creamery homemade ice cream sandwiched between two soft, delicious, gluten-free, homemade cookies. You will never be satisfied with an ice cream sandwich from a box again.
Leones' Creamery also makes its own frozen treat bars.
And in true Leones' style, they're not your typical flavors. This is a brownie fudgsicle with chocolate ice cream and chewy bites of brownies. You'll also often find fruit-flavored pops. Selection varies by day, of course.
Take some home so that you're prepared for your next midnight craving.
Because Leones' Creamery isn't open at midnight, sadly.
At Leones', it's all about the ice cream love.
Scoop it forward and get your name on the board!
Visit Leones' Creamery six days a week.
The shop is open from noon to 10:00 pm every day except Tuesday.
