Regular tortilla tacos may be a pretty popular food pretty much everywhere, but in South Dakota there is a much more popular twist on them that everyone loves. Indian tacos switch out the tortilla shell for delicious fry bread with all the same toppings that make the perfect combination, though they can have buffalo meat instead of ground beef.
In other parts of the country it can be kind of difficult to find Indian tacos in restaurants, but in South Dakota they are a staple food so there are plenty of restaurants that serve them. These six restaurants in particular have them perfected and will keep you coming back for more.
1. The Brass Kettle - Aberdeen
The Brass Kettle has an amazing Indian taco with their homemade fry bread that you'll love. Their menu is full of delicious, gourmet meals and even if you aren't going for the Indian tacos, the rest of their food will still blow you away.

2. Laughing Water Restaurant - Custer
If you're stopping by the Crazy Horse Memorial, then this is the place to go for some food! It's the actually the only place, but well worth the stop for their great Native American food. They have Indian tacos to die for as well as tatanka stew. You can see the mountain carving right from the restaurant while you are eating!

3. Rosalie's Restaurant, Bakery, and Lounge - Sisseton
This little restaurant packs big flavor into their amazingly tasty Indian tacos. You can imagine being a bakery as well as restaurant means that the fry bread is nothing short of perfect. Combine that with your favorite toppings and you have one awesome meal.

4. 212 Boiling Point - Brandon
Now that looks like a mean Indian taco! 212 Boiling Point serves tons of wonderful options but if you happen to be there and get the chance at having an Indian taco, DO IT! They're just so good, you'll be coming back for more the very next day.

5. Ruby House - Keystone
This historical house has an amazing interior that will pull you back to the 1800s. The Indian tacos will set your taste buds tingling in delight! Great food, great ambience, and perfect fry bread - it makes the perfect spot to eat.

6. Cheyenne Crossing - Lead
This place is a classic spot to stop on your trip through the Black Hills and one of their most popular menu items is definitely their Indian tacos. This is for good reason, too, because they are made to perfection and are just so tasty. Stop here for a taco treat on your drive and you won't regret it.
