Christmas will be here before we know it, so it is time we begin making our lists and checking them twice! If you have someone on your shopping list who is nearly impossible to buy for (or if you are shopping for yourself and just love unique items), we recommend supporting local artisans and businesses, which is precisely what you can do at the South Dakota Heritage Store.
Located at both the Cultural Heritage Center and Capitol building in Pierre, the South Dakota Heritage Store is arguably the most one-of-a-kind Mount Rushmore State shop there is!
Operated by the South Dakota Historical Society Foundation, the Heritage Store is home to an extensive collection of local artisan's ware, plus artwork, books, and various accessories.
Do you have someone who is next-to-impossible to surprise? The next time you need a gift, look no further than the one-stop-shop South Dakota Heritage Store.
Do you have a foodie in your life? They will love one of the many unique treats from the store, which includes everything from homemade preserves to candy, jerky, and more.
Have a fashionista who is always ahead of the trends? She is sure to go crazy for the Store's many high-quality necklaces, bracelets, and rings.
Maybe you know of a South Dakota transplant who really misses home? There is a book, a photograph, or various memento just for them, too!
In addition to all of the above, the South Dakota Heritage Store also runs monthly promotions, which you can learn more about on their website.
The South Dakota Heritage Store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
