Boondock’s Diner, 21559 US-385, Deadwood, SD 57732.
Just 9 miles south of Deadwood, Boondock’s Diner is a great place to stop for a delicious burger, hand-cut fries and a malt. You can also take an old-west photo to remember your visit by or explore the free museum. Let’s just say Boondocks offers plenty of amazing food and fun or everyone. They are open daily 11:00 AM- 9:00 PM.
2. Jimmy’s Diner, 1301 River Dr. North Sioux City, SD 57049.
Head to Jimmy’s Diner Monday – Sunday anytime between 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM. This little-known gem serves mouth-watering daily lunch and breakfast specials that won’t disappoint. If you’re feeling adventurous, try their new winter lunch special: chili in a cinnamon bowl.
3. Weimers Diner and Donut 1120 Main St, Sturgis, SD 57785.
This family-style restaurant serves delicious breakfast, lunch, coffee and drinks at exceptionally reasonable prices. If you’re a donut lover, you’ll have a hard time choosing just one, because they definitely have an impressive selection! Pop in Monday - Saturday anytime between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Just remember to bring cash!
4. The Phillips Avenue Diner, 121 S Phillips Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104.
Stop by this retro diner and enjoy mouthwatering classic diner specialties. Located in downtown Sioux Falls, Phillips Avenue Diner is widely known for their top-notch service, 1950’s feel, and downright excellent brunch, lunch and dinner. 5. Ditty’s Diner, 801 S Main St, Kimball, SD 57355.
Patrons rave about Ditty’s Diner's excellent service and high-quality food. Unassumingly connected to a gas station, this eatery is a pleasant surprise between long stretches of country. Ditty’s is also known for their diverse menu and large portions. Stop by Monday-Sunday anytime between 7:00 AM-10:00 PM.
6. Sugar Shack, 22495 US-385, Deadwood, SD 57732.
The Sugar Shack serves seriously mouth-watering burgers that you won’t find anywhere else. Their thick, hand-made patties and grilled buns make all the difference. Be sure to try their Bubba Burger with bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, onions and barbecue sauce. They are open Tuesday-Sunday 7:00 AM-8:00 PM.
7. Corner Diner, 100 N Commercial St, Clark, SD 57225.
Corner Diner is a family business that specializes in homemade foods and fantastic baked goods/ice cream treats. With a culinary team committed to serving only the best, this diner is truly a gem in the Clark community. They are open weekly from 6:00 AM- 4:00 PM and weekends 7:00 AM-2:00 PM.
8. Hubcap Diner, 317 Main St, Hill City, SD 57745.
Nestled in downtown Hill City, Hubcap Diner is open seven days a week 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. This '50s-themed diner will take you back in time with their retro atmosphere. Enjoy a home cooked meal complete with a huge sundae, malt, shake, or banana split. Go big or go home, right?
9. Fairmont Diner, 310 E Fairmont Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57701.
This family-operated business goes out of its way to make sure that every one of their customers feel welcome and at home in their diner. They offer up wonderfully delicious homemade soups, gravies, hand-made country fried steaks, real mashed potatoes, homemade pies and rolls. Open weekdays 7:00 AM- 2:00 PM and weekends 8:00 AM- 2:00 PM, this diner is truly a must visit.
10. Shirley’s Diner, 142 E 2nd St #2, Winner, SD 57580.
Shirley’s Dinner in Winner is beloved for its home-style breakfast and lunch specials, terrific customer service, and Elvis-inspired décor. Opt to have breakfast for lunch or enjoy a baked pork chop cooked to perfection accompanied by delicious mashed potatoes. The best part? Shirley’s even delivers.
