The holiday season has finally arrived. Who doesn't love all of the hustle and bustle that comes with Christmas in South Carolina, as well as the togetherness, renewed faith, and generosity it inspires. Towns all across the Palmetto State decorate, celebrate, and embrace one another with holiday cheer. We rounded up some photos (mostly from past Christmas seasons) of the best Christmas towns in South Carolina. Have fun checking them out and let them add a bit of Christmas spirit to your day!

The Camden Christmas Parade is a fan favorite. Look! It's Santa and his helpers!
4. Charleston, SC
Charleston's historic district decorates in classic style for the holiday season, as shown here in a past year photo of the Nathanial Russell House at 51 Meeting Street.
5. Conway, SC
Conway's annual holiday festivities "come alive" on each December with their annual Christmas tree lighting.
6. Aiken, SC
As if it was even possible for Aiken to become any more charming, the Christmas season always delivers.
7. Greenville, SC
The City of Greenville sets up this ice rink, Ice on Main, as part of their holiday celebrations. It's a lot like the rink at Rockefeller Center in NYC and it's spectacular!

Christmas Greetings from Edgefield, SC, one of the sweetest Christmas towns in the state!

11. Greenwood, SC
I love the beautiful avenue of lights displayed in this photo of Uptown Greenwood, SC.
12. Sumter, SC
Thomas the Elf patiently waits outside a retail establishment in busy Downtown Sumter. He thinks he's getting a new outfit.
13. Hartsville, SC
Hartsville residents know how special their town is. Gathering together to watch the annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Hartsville is a beloved tradition!
14. Hunting Island, SC
The lighthouse at Hunting Island, SC, greets visitors with a Christmas wreath above the door.
15. Newberry, SC
This South Carolina town prepares well in advance for the annual Christmas tree lighting. Check out those fancy outfits and beautiful decorations!
It's really not a competition, you know. The Christmas spirit is everywhere, including where you live. If your city didn't make the list I can assure you it wasn't because we thought you don't have any Christmas spirit. Because we know that you do. No matter where you are in South Carolina, Christmas is guaranteed to be a splendid affair.
Please feel free to post photos of the Christmas spirit in your city in our South Carolina Nature Lovers Facebook group. I, for one, would love to see them. You can also check out some of the prettiest Christmas sights in the state on this South Carolina Holiday Lights Road Trip.
