A popular Rock Hill park, Ebenezer Park, will be closed soon for renovations that will involve the installation of concrete pads at campsites, the addition of more RV and tent sites, paving some of the roads, and other improvements. This comes after the park had re-opened in 2021 following a $4.6-million renovation. Public use of the park has increased and the consensus in the community has been that the area needs more recreational parks. The leaders have listened and just this year another park has opened, Rock Hill Park at the Lake Wylie Dam. And you're going to want to visit it soon before the word gets out and it, too, begins attracting the crowds!
The Rock Hill Park is located on India Hook Road, and there's a map posted showing the layout of the park.
It's Rock Hill's first beachfront park on Lake Wylie, with 21 acres including five fishing stations, a kayak/canoe launch ...
... a beach and a small swimming area ...
... and trails, including both paved and dirt paths.
There are plenty of benches around if you'd like to take a rest or just sit and enjoy the surroundings and fresh air for awhile.
This park in Rock Hill was built in 2022 and opened in June of 2023. It can be enjoyed from dawn to dusk daily.
You never know what type of wildlife you might spot while taking a stroll along the trails!
Pack a picnic lunch and grab this cool sand-free picnic mat to take along in case the picnic tables are all in use! Rock Hill Park at Lake Wylie Dam is a great spot for a quiet morning or a relaxing afternoon. Admission to the park is free as well as parking.
