Appropriately named, Tasty Thai & Sushi in Charleston's historic downtown delivers exactly that! Add a family atmosphere, friendly staff and you'll be back for more. What's that? Can't get a reservation because they're booked? Try their Mount Pleasant location just over the Ravenel bridge on Coleman Boulevard.
2. Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar in Myrtle Beach
I'm not sure which you'll love more: the restaurant decor or the food. Owners Max Garby and Dalia Falcon have gone to extreme measures to make sure both are authentic at the Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Love traditional mediterranean food? Then try Leyla on King Street in Charleston. They also import fine Lebanese wine and can suggest the perfect one to pair with your meal. Be sure to save room for their yummy desserts!
4. Redi-ET Ethopian Restaurant in Myrtle Beach
Redi-ET Ethopian Cuisine is a favorite in Myrtle Beach, serving an extensive traditional Ethiopian Menu that includes well over 10 vegetarian dishes. Selected among TripAdvisors Top Eats in 2015, you'll be doing yourself a favor by trying this one the next time you're in Myrtle Beach.
5. The Mad Cuban Cafe in Simpsonville
Don't expect to find an actual "mad Cuban" if you stop in at the Mad Cuban Cafe in Simpsonville, SC. Instead you'll find traditional Cuban food combining Caribbean ingredients with a Spanish influence.
6. Inakaya Watanabe Sushi in Columbia
Serving authentic Japanese, including traditional Kappo!
7. Saffron Indian Cuisine in Greenville
One of the best spots in the Upstate for Indian Cuisine, Saffron delivers aromas and flavors authentic to India. Mmmm, I can smell it now.

9. El Jimador Mexican Restaurant in Clemson
Get it started with some great chips and salsa and a giant margarita. Then, browse the menu of authentic Mexican cuisine before you order a refill and a meal to follow.
10. Ko Cha Korean Restaurant in Charleston
Outside the historic area of Charleston over in a place called West Ashley, Ko Cha is well known for both Korean and Chinese foods. It makes the list for thriving even though it's in an odd location.
