When I think of incredible mini golf courses in South Carolina, my mind automatically goes to Myrtle Beach, known for its entertainment and attractions, including fabulous mini golf. Many have begun to discover, however, that there's much more to South Carolina than Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Our upstate area has gained its own reputation for being a must-visit destination, and it's got a mini golf course that some say is better than any they've experienced at the beach! Come along as we explore this unforgettable attraction.
It's called The Oasis Ranch, and it's located on Hackberry Lane in the town of Seneca, which is about 37 miles southwest of Greenville in the upstate area of South Carolina.
Open since April 2021, this magical place is a one-of-a-kind 18-hole miniature golf course that took six years to build!
It was designed and built by a horticulturalist and landscape designer and his team. They were working on two 18-hole courses simultaneously, initially, and then decided to focus on completing just one of those with the goal of finishing the other later.
As you walk through The Oasis Ranch, you feel as though you may have stepped outside of South Carolina and into a tropical paradise.
Incorporated throughout the course, you'll be delighted at every turn with sights like water features, koi ponds ...
... turtles, frogs, and more. You'll want to bring change to get fish food from the machine if you'd like to feed the fish.
Of all the mini golf courses in South Carolina, The Oasis Ranch in Seneca, SC is one that people of all ages enjoy. Meet the almost-89-year-old who got a hole-in-one on this challenging course (it's said that some holes are par 4 level).
There's even a premium golf simulator, which includes more than 50 real-world courses you can play at your leisure, year round, rain or shine. It will accommodate up to six players per reservation.
It's such a beautiful place that it was chosen by the Tricounty Plein Air Painters for inspiration!
Visit The Oasis Ranch website for additional information including hours of operation and last start time, which is well into the evening hours. You could book this room in a charming boutique hotel in historic downtown Seneca and make it an overnight getaway.
