We already know that living in Rhode Island is pretty much perfection. After all, we’re never too far from a sandy beach, the ocean, and some of the best restaurants in the U.S. Rhode Island also serves as an ideal launching point for exploring a little further from home, and most of the time we can do it in a single weekend. If you’re not up for traveling too far from home on your next weekend adventure, hop on the ferry and head over to Block Island. 3. Mystic, Connecticut
An enchanting waterfront town, Mystic is the perfect place to get away – whether you’re traveling with the family or on your own. 4. Portland, Maine
We all know that Rhode Island has the best seafood in New England, but you’ll find some delicious dining in Portland, too.
