As the weather turns chilly, we all start to think more about snuggling up and relaxing with the one we love. Maybe drinking some hot cocoa by a roaring fire, and definitely bundling up in sweaters and thick blankets after a day of exploring is an absolute dream. Luckily, Rhode Island is very well versed in all things cozy, and we have accommodations to match. We think this bed and breakfast in Providence is the perfect place to stay as you enjoy a romantic weekend getaway in the ocean state.
Christopher Dodge House Bed and Breakfast is located on beautiful and quiet West Park Street in Providence.
The bed and breakfast was opened in 2003, but the house itself was built in 1858, so it has seen a good chunk of Rhode Island's history.
There are only fourteen rooms in the house, but each one has its own fun sense of design and special character.
Many of the rooms even feature a gas powered fireplace or wood stove, so you can cozy up next to a warm fire after a long day of romantic Providence adventures.
There is also a complimentary continental AND hot breakfast served in a charming communal dining room every morning to get you going. This place really cares about their customers.
Hot options range from vegetable frittatas to blueberry pancakes.
And mid day a plate of pastries goes out for the taking. Will you find pumpkin spice donuts or almond pound cake? Who knows, but the fun is in the surprise.
But even with all these options, you may find it hard to leave your cozy room, and that's okay! What is a weekend getaway for if not relaxing?
Are you already planning your trip to the Christopher Dodge House? Will you be requesting a room with a fireplace to make your stay extra cozy? These rooms can book up very quickly, so it's a good idea to look on the bed and breakfast's website, and check their Facebook posts for last minute availability.
