Sometimes a day trip is oh-so-delicious. While we certainly have no shortage of day trip destinations – state parks, small towns, and family-friendly attractions – sometimes we crave a leisurely drive capped off by a really good meal and a tall, cold pint. That’s just what awaits at Trinity Brewhouse, an idyllic spot for a day trip in Providence, Rhode Island.
When Trinity Brewhouse burst onto the culinary scene in 1995, it established itself as one of the first brewpub restaurants in New England and has since become a favorite for Rhode Islanders and visitors.
Right across the street from the Rhode Island Convention Center, the longtime Providence institution welcomes guests daily for lunch, dinner, and late-night eats. If you’re not too hungry, stop by for a cold brew.
Diners rave about the beer and for good reason. Trinity Brewhouse has garnered an impressive collection of awards during its history. Its Kolsch, for example, claimed the top prize at The 20th Great International Beer & Cider Competition in 2016.
But for the full experience, make sure you’re good and hungry when you head over, or work up an appetite with a few games of pool as you nibble on an appetizer. Chips with salsa, Bavarian pretzel sticks, and hand-cut potato French fries are among your choices.
A create-your-own pizza pairs perfectly with a cold beer or cool lemonade while a burger – either meaty or vegan – and fries are sure to leave you absolutely stuffed. (Take a peek at the sandwiches, like the pulled pork, too.)
Even if you’ve settled on a handheld, check out the entrees, which are served until 10 p.m., so you know what to order next time. From classic fish and chips to vegan stuffed bell pepper, Trinity Brewhouse has something for every taste.
