One of the best ways to get out and soak up some nature and fresh air is with a good hike. Mount Tom trail is located in beautifully spooky Exeter, Rhode Island.
At 6.7 miles, the trail is best suited for those a bit more accustomed to long hikes.
That said, it is only moderate in difficult and there are many spots to stop.
We recommend packing a light lunch and finding a spot to put down your blanket and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while you have your meal.
Just make sure not to get lost in looking down as you move ahead, the trail is so gorgeous!
There are stunning river views and a wooden bridge to cross over that feels like something out of a fairy tale.
But if horror is more your genre, never fear, you can also find a historical cemetery along this trail.
